Thank you for visiting and supporting Bee Cave Blog. BCB’s objective is to nurture, embrace, and promote a sense of community for Bee Cave. This is not Lakeway and this sure as hell is not Westlake. This is not Austin and its not Spicewood. This is Bee Cave, Texas, baby! Today, we have a giant mall, an HEB, a Lowe’s, a Home Depot, a Best Buy, a Golds Gym, a bunch of restaurants, some banks, and a Jim Bob’s BBQ. We even have a Bee Cave “Parkway” and the best music venue in Central Texas. Plus, we have the coolest City Hall building on Earth. Soon, we will get a Dick’s and bunch of people living fine apartment homes. So, the way we see it, if any community needs its own, independent news and discussion blog, ours does!!!!!
BCB is about local news, sports, events, activities, discussion and all the things the community cares about. What is important to the community is important to BCB. BCB is administered by local community members. We are not here to dictate or to promote a particular agenda. We don’t care if you are a Republican or a Democrat. We really don’t care if you believe in cats in the house or if you don’t (but, that could make a good discussion forum.) We administer a community-based news and discussion website. If you have ever attended a HOA meeting or read “Letters to the Editor,” then you know how people can really get bogged down on the most tedious of issues, complaints, and concerns. I’ve witnessed a neighborhood assocation meeting spend three hours debating over the best way to dispose of pet stool left on public property. So with that being said, let’s all try to promote goodwill, fellowship, and appreciation for our great community and our wonderful community members.
We encourage local residents to submit news, facts, comments, opinions, and pictures. Some examples include: restaurant reviews; vacation reviews; concert reviews; marriage annoucements; community facts; special events; “I remember when’s….” (ex: I remeber when Willie Nelson rocked The Backyard in ‘89!”; Why-living-in-Bee-Cave-is-way-better-than-Austin; Why-your-backyard-barbeque-rocked-your-neighbor’s-crawfish-boil; etc
We encourage local businesses to submit new developments. Some examples include: job openings; employee promotions and accomplishments; special discount sales and promotions; etc.
Also, BCB recieves important community information from Bee Cave City Hall and local law enforcement. BCB helps keep the community safe and informed.
